every week.
Dealers & trade
Does Asra Paints appoint dealers and distributors?
Yes. Asra Paints appoints dealers and distributors across Delhi NCR and Uttar Pradesh, and reviews enquiries from other states. We look for established paint or hardware retailers with an existing trade counter and the storage to hold stock. Territory, margin structure and credit terms are agreed dealer by dealer rather than set to a single template — see the dealership page for who we appoint and how it works, then call +91 99993 64799 or message us on WhatsApp.
What does a paint dealership with Asra Paints involve?
You stock and sell the Asra range from your own counter, supported by our shade cards, fan decks and product literature. Because we manufacture at our own works in Sahibabad, you are buying direct from the maker rather than through a chain of intermediaries — which is what makes the dealer margin work. Opening order size, delivery schedule and payment terms are set when we appoint you.
Can I get a dealer price list?
Yes. Dealer pricing is shared directly rather than published, because it varies by product line and order volume. The fastest route is WhatsApp — tell us your city and what you currently stock, and we will send the relevant list.
Does Asra Paints supply bulk orders for projects and contractors?
Yes. We supply builders, contractors and painting firms directly for site work, including repeat orders across multi-building projects. Bulk pricing and delivery scheduling are quoted per project — call +91 99993 64799 with your requirement and timeline.
The company
What is the difference between Asra Paints and Asra Industry?
Asra Industry is the registered company. Asra Paints is its decorative paint brand, and Cotex is one of the product lines sold under it. They are the same business — invoices and GST documentation are issued in the name Asra Industry, while the buckets, shade cards and marketing carry Asra Paints.
Where is Asra Paints manufactured?
At our own works at A-2/29, G.D. Steel Compound, Sahibabad Industrial Area Site-4, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh 201010, India. Every batch is mixed, filled and despatched from that single facility — we do not job out production. Note that unrelated businesses in Kerala trade under similar names; the Asra Paints described here is the Ghaziabad manufacturer.
Is Asra Paints ISO certified?
Yes. Asra Industry holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system, and every bucket is batch-stamped and carries its own directions for use on the back label.
Can I buy Asra Paints online?
Selected Cotex products are listed on Amazon India. For the full range, trade quantities or anything shade-matched, buy through an Asra dealer or contact the works directly — the complete catalogue is not carried online.
Products & application
What products does Asra Paints make?
Interior and exterior acrylic emulsions, acrylic and oil-bound distempers, synthetic enamels, interior and exterior cement primers, wall textures, metallic and aluminium finishes, gold spray and epoxy grout. The range spans thirteen wall finishes and six drawn-in-plaster textures. Full technical data — coverage, dilution and drying times for every product — is on the specifications page, and the catalogue is available as a downloadable PDF.
What is the difference between distemper, emulsion and enamel paint?
Distemper is the most economical interior wall finish — water-based, matt, and best suited to ceilings, rentals and budget interiors. Emulsion is an acrylic water-based paint that is washable, holds colour far longer and is the standard choice for living areas and all exterior walls. Enamel is a solvent-based finish that dries hard and glossy, used on wood and metal — grilles, doors, gates and railings — rather than on plaster.
Which paint should be used on exterior walls?
An exterior-grade acrylic emulsion over an exterior cement primer. Exterior emulsions are formulated to resist UV fading, monsoon rain and the alkalinity that comes out of fresh cement — interior emulsion or distemper used outdoors will chalk and fade within a season or two. Priming matters as much as the topcoat: skipping the primer is the single most common cause of early peeling on Indian exteriors.
Do I need a primer before painting a new wall?
Yes, on any new or freshly plastered surface. Fresh cement is strongly alkaline and will attack a topcoat applied directly to it. A cement primer seals the surface, evens out absorption so the finish coat looks uniform, and improves adhesion — which means fewer coats of the more expensive paint on top.
